Founded in Panama and inspired by the specialty coffee culture of the Boquete region, Central Bean Traders was created to connect exceptional producers with buyers across the specialty coffee market. What began as a personal introduction to Panama’s vibrant coffee community has grown into a relationship-driven export company focused on sourcing high-quality green coffees while supporting the farms behind them.

As a Canadian expat living in Panama with my wife and three daughters, I share my time between Panama and Canada, maintaining close connections with producers at origin and customers throughout North America. This dual presence allows us to coordinate trade directly between farm and market while supporting transparent communication, reliable logistics, and long-term collaboration.

Our cooperative-style model brings together coffees from small-scale farms alongside established producers active in specialty coffee. Through direct collaboration with farmers and on-the-ground partners, we offer buyers a curated portfolio of distinctive Panamanian coffees backed by consistency, traceability, and dependable support.

While our roots are firmly planted in Panama, our vision extends beyond origin. As we grow, we remain committed to strengthening producer relationships, expanding access to international markets, and building a trusted network that connects exceptional coffees with the people who value them.
